Andy Buclaw is a Songwriter, Poet, Composer, Sound Artist, Conceptual Artist, Writer, based in the World (UK). Sometimes he collaborates with Bess Martin to form an unstoppable Wine Drinking (and occasional art prize entering) duo, the likes of which the art world has probably already seen. He also occasionally collaborates with musical songstress Theresa Elflein, otherwise known as Mouth.
Andy was born in the year of the Tiger, which meant from an early age he had the urge to claw people. Most of his childhood was spent watching sport, with occasional breaks to visit school, which would find their way into stories he wrote under the age of 11, even when he was explicitly told not to.
Once, Andy bought a Guitar at school for £10. A few years later he then bought a Mandolin, then a Ukulele, then a Melodica and a Glockenspiel. He also bought his favourite Guitar, still drunk, the morning after a night out which shows he has impeccable taste in instruments with Beer Goggles. However since then, he has played various festivals and venues across the country and released an EP, the cover of which sees Andy draped in a Union Jack and tied to a table with "The National Curriculum" written on his forehead.
Nowadays, Andy spends his time thinking about the world and finding creative ways of using these thoughts through art, music, poetry and general ranting to his (dwindling list of) friends, as they slowly back away and make excuses about how tiring modern life is. Quite often there is a morbid dynamic to his writing, as death and how people deal with death, has fascinated him since he was a child. His artwork tends to portray his social or political views, but also tries to view things from alternative and challenging perspectives.
He has also been known to open the front door with a carving knife in his hand.
Andy does not advocate talking in the third person and advises that you take him seriously at your own peril.
